You know there is a difference between A Standard Football game and a backyard football game. A Standard Football game is for Glory and fulfils the purpose of Sports and Entertainment. A Backyard football game could be for any reason: For the fun of it OR You’re exercising a talent with or without the intention of making something of it.
Using football as our case study in respect to branding, The Talent is your Brand Idea.
Exercising the Talent is you birthing something of your idea. Sadly, Most people stop there. Probably because of Fear or You are waiting for an opportunity to present itself.
In a world where everything is being branded and everyone has ideas, opportunities are at a minimal, until you create one for yourself and you can’t do that by playing it out in your backyard only.
There is the need for you to break out. There is the need for you to make noise. Noise because a lot of voices are already out there so to make yourself heard, you need to make meaningful noise about the values your brand is offering: MARKETING.
I have seen a lot of people put marketing to the side with the mindset of “It isn’t time yet” or “I’m not ready yet”, my question to you is, “ when do you think it’s the right time?”.
Well I can tell you that There’s no appropriate time to introduce Marketing to your Brand. Make Meaningful Noise when it’s starting and make more Noise when it’s running. Don’t stop making Noise, except you want to keep playing it as a Backyard Game!
