Deal with it! : Mental and Emotional Health (Pt. 2)

There’s a usual translation our mind gives to the statement, “Deal with it!” When it is thrown at us, and that it, “figure it out on your own”. Actually that statement is right but only halfway. When you’re told to deal with a problem, you’re meant to “figure it out”, but not on your own, especially not when you’re going through an emotional issue. You need to voice it out somehow; you could speak to someone, whip out your diary and write it there but DO NOT DEAL WITH IT ON YOUR OWN! Getting help and expressing yourself does NOT make you a weak person, Erase that mindset.
You have an emotional problem, you identify it or approach someone who can help you identify it, you deal with it and you bounce back to normal, Please tell me, In what way did that whole process reduce your existence or level?!
It’s important to have someone walk with you through it because, trust me when you deal with it on your own, it never completely leaves you(it’s like using an incomplete dosage of a drug, the ailment always resurfaces).
Some of us refuse to deal with these issues because we’d rather hustle than heal and there are some of us who simply value their ego more than their health.
Please learn to deal with your issues with someone by your side, not by yourself. Pay attention to your emotional health. Lack of attention to your emotional health is what leads to depression and then to suicide or madness.
True, when you’re unstable, you’re weak. But would you rather show your weakness, deal with it and become strong or would you rather BE weak, hide it so you can appear strong and eventually your weakness takes over you?!
I leave you with this question Dear reader to ponder on.
Please Be safe and have an amazing weekend.
