Making it work.

Following a Passion that fuels your Purpose in the world today is sometimes quite difficult.

Sometime last year, I quit my job as a Sales Rep with an Accessory brand because I wasn’t finding fulfilment at the job. I woke up tired every single day and that wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I had no savings and absolutely nothing to show for the job. Expenses were killing me and the most excruciating part was that I was losing touch with my true self and even my skills suffered... So I decided to quit. After I quit, I told myself I wouldn’t take up any job that wasn’t in line with “at least“ my passion and interest. After quitting, I have had to live with the stigma of being jobless which can be quite depressing.

Early this year, I got the chance to pursue an internship application I tendered with an Advertising Agency I’ve been looking to work with for four years, as a Copywriter… However, I did not get the job (FYI, this would be the second time that I would be pursuing an application with this same company...).

During all this period, I haven’t for once discarded the dream of becoming a Professional Copywriter. Ask me what I want to do and I’ll give you a Road Map of my Career goals, However, The Struggle is real. There are so many other woes, that I cannot delve into at this moment, but I’m certain someday, while I am giving MY TED Talk, I will probably refer back to this article and give the full story then.

I was raised with the mindset of figuring things out… So no matter how exhausted I get at some point, the highest I would do, is cry myself to sleep and wake with a new resolve the next morning because, there’s no other way to go but AHEAD. Lately, AHEAD, looks very bleak, however, I am a strong believer in making things work… So instead of looking AHEAD, I look right in front of me and take that step, because sometimes, some things will only be figured out along the way not Ahead of time.

P.S: I wrote this not just to motivate you, My Dear Reader, but especially to motivate me.

I wish you the best always,

Yours Truly,
